When you are in the market for a new boat, be sure to check out the value that comes with used yachts. Not only do you save money, but often the boat will come loaded with accessories that you would normally have to purchase separately.

The biggest issue to be aware of with used yachts is age. Most boats that are 15 years or older may require extensive work before being sea worthy. If you aren’t sure about the age of the boat you are interested in, be sure and have a qualified mechanic inspect it prior to your purchase, and never buy used yachts that are not in the water when you go to view them. This is a huge sign that problems exist and should raise red flags when you are looking.

Finding your dream boat will take work, but is well worth it. Use local boat dealers, and look in the classifieds for individuals that are selling used yachts. Winter is the best time to find a deal, but can also make it difficult to find a boat that is in the water. Doing your research and having some basic knowledge is the best way to get a great deal on a great boat.
